Full Body Detox Journal – Day 1
Date: September 9, 2025Focus: Inflammation + Gut Reset
Today marks Day One of my full body detox — a necessary reset that’s been long overdue. Despite generally healthy eating habits, I’ve felt persistent signs of inflammation and unresolved gut issues. The time has come to truly clean up — not just in theory, but in deep, intentional practice.
This cleanse is less about what I’m removing, and more about what I’m allowing: space, clarity, and restoration.
☀️ Morning Rituals
I started the day with a vibrant green juice — a nourishing blend of:
Kale – rich in antioxidants and vitamin K, known to combat inflammation
Spinach – supports digestion and detox pathways with its fiber and magnesium
Lemon juice – alkalizing and packed with vitamin C, a natural liver booster
Ginger – anti-inflammatory and gut-soothing
Cucumber – hydrating and full of silica for skin and detox support
Sipping it felt like giving my body a fresh internal rinse. Light, energizing, and exactly what I needed to begin this cleanse on the right foot.

🥗 Midday Nourishment
I prepared avocados and tomatoes with a homemade balsamic vinaigrette made from:
Extra virgin olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Dijon mustard
Minced garlic
Dried oregano + black pepper
Benefits of balsamic vinaigrette:
Balsamic vinegar – supports blood sugar regulation and digestion; naturally antimicrobial
Olive oil – provides heart-healthy fats that reduce inflammation
Garlic – acts as a natural detoxifier and immune booster
Mustard & herbs – rich in phytonutrients and digestive stimulants
The brightness and depth of flavor in this dressing made the salad feel indulgent while staying 100% clean and nourishing.
🍽️ Evening Check-In
Dinner didn’t go as planned. I had a training class and missed the window to prep a proper detox-friendly meal.
Rather than forcing something rushed or off-plan, I listened to my body.
Stayed hydrated with plenty of water
Grabbed a small handful of blueberries — rich in antioxidants and fiber
Ended the day with a calming cup of mint tea, known for its soothing digestive benefits
It wasn’t perfect, but it was intentional, and that matters more than anything. A gentle reminder that life happens — and consistency, not perfection, is what brings healing.
🌿 Parasitic Detox: The Deeper Work
Alongside this detox, I’m embarking on a 3-week parasite cleanse — an often-overlooked but critical part of gut healing. (I'm still waiting for it to arrive, so when I begin I will totally share)
Key Benefits of Parasite Detoxing:
Improved digestion and nutrient absorption
Reduced bloating, fatigue, and brain fog
Strengthened immunity
Restored gut flora balance
Decreased sugar cravings
Potential improvement in skin conditions and mood swings
This layer of the journey will be like clearing the cobwebs from the deeper corners of the gut — giving my body the chance to operate cleanly and efficiently, free of hidden burdens.
Reflections:
Today feels like the shedding of old habits and lingering toxins, although I did want that nightly cocktail... My body feels lighter already — not physically yet, but energetically. There’s something empowering about choosing simplicity and purity. I’m giving myself permission to heal, fully.
Here’s to consistency, clarity, and trusting the body’s ability to reset when given the right environment.
